Re: Desuperheaters [ Read Responses | Return to the Index ]
Posted by Robert Gammon on Wednesday, 23 April 2008, at 4:49 p.m., I recall that open loop systems, those that draw water from wells, lakes, or streams to act as the ground loop, have a recommended descaling service procedure as a part of the regular service cycle. And I also must clarify the statement in the previous posting about scale in the desuperheater. I have no idea what the internal construction of the desuperheater is. It could be tubes as I suggested earlier, it could be plates, there are several different designs for heat exchangers that work with a hot refrigerant (R410A) and water. Responses
This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project. |
