GSHP to ASHP switching?

Has anyone looked at a system that would automatically switch the ground loop flow to an air radiator when the air is warmer (assuming heating) than the ground?
I could see it making sense if one found a low cost air/water heat exchanger (aka chiller). At that point, it just takes a couple of valves and a thermostat.
Might even make sense to use some of the warm day heat to heat the ground loop up.
