Phil,
After a few phone calls to you and reading and re-reading this site and a few others, I mustered the courage to undertake the acid staining of our back screened-in porch (200 sq. ft).
Well, it worked like a charm. Went with the Cola stain from Kemiko - dealer said cola was his #1 seller. The masking tape idea worked like a champ. Since it was my 1st attempt and I managed to get only 2 rolls of EZ Quilt, I stuck with a simple brick pattern of 2ft by 4ft. and it turned out great. It took me a full day to complete all the steps from laying masking tape to 2 coats of sealant. But I'm now ready to do the front porch in a diamond pattern. I found that Hancock fabrics has them in stock locally.
So much thanks for your patience and advice. I had 1 question if you have time - on the sealant, I used a garden sprayer and followed up with a paint roller, but it let several bubbles. Do you have any ideas to tackle this?
Thanks again!
Sri
