Posted by Phil on Tuesday, 9 June 2009, at 9:13 a.m., The sealer I used had a different application process. 1) First you apply the sealer (looks like milk) with either a sprayer or saturated roller. We ended up using a roller because it avoided the overspray. 2) Then you wait 5 minutes for it to saturate the concrete. 3) Then you wipe off the excess with a sponge or paper towels. We used paper towels. It leaves a near-perfect finish. BTW, make sure you use full gloves when you wipe up the excess sealer. It seems to crust on your skin and is quite unpleasant.

This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project. |
