Re: Loss of temp sensors due lighting. [ Read Responses | Return to the Index ]
Posted by Bill on Tuesday, 30 June 2009, at 11:53 a.m., Bob, thanks! I too have 'rolled my own' temperature sensors because I like the ability to make physical contact when I'm measuring fluid temps through pipe wall. I use some thermal grease and strong mechanical fastening to the pipe (using zip ties). But, for those applications where you want to get an ambient / air temperature, you might want to consider purchasing from Phil sensors that are already prewired. Best regards, Bill Responses
This site is all about building a cool, energy efficient house, that makes maximum use of earth sheltered design, passive solar heating and cooling, geothermal exchange energy management, and right sizing of the house for it's designated use. The home's placement is on a south-facing hillside in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. This site describes the design process, the technologies used and the expected results. We also have a comprehensive Links Page for anyone who is also interested in designing a similar project. |
